Nicola Upson in conversation

Event date:
Thursday 26th September 2019 at 7.30pm

‘Stanley and Elsie’ reimagines the family life of famed painter Stanley Spencer, as seen through the eyes of his housekeeper, Elsie. The novel is a vivid and delicate portrait of the artist and the women who influenced his life.

Nicola Upson is best known for her novels centred on the real-life crime writer, Josephine Tey. She is an engaging and fascinating speaker who has much to share about her writing career, as well as her research into Stanley Spencer.

This evening takes place at Browsers Bookshop. Tickets are £12 to include a copy of the book (RRP£10.99), and one additional ticket may be purchased for £8, without the book.
